    Our YouTube connection has been fixed. So, the site is back online :) EDIT: RSS feed has been fixed and working correctly (email me if it doesn't work with any particular RSS client). New forums are up! Unfortunately, I couldn't convert all the user accounts and the (few) topics across... I tried a number of times. You'll have to register again, but I think you'll like the new forums! :)

  • Server Playing Funny Bu**ers

    My web host decided to change everything and the site cannot connect to YouTube.. thus destroying everything...
    but, my web host a**ures me that they are fixing it and they should get it working again "today"... which since it's 8:00 pm over here, I'm not feeling all that hopeful...
    So, sorry about that, the site will be working again shortly. It's all rather dependant on accessing YouTube to grab the video data etc.

  • Competition

    I've fixed the website... it killed itself after our host moved servers without telling me and changed all the settings... and then youtube changed their things too... so, mess... mess now clean again...
    Anyway, thought I'd do a competition... as I'm bored and feel bad for letting the website get so bad for my brother.
    So, who actually knows what "Owl Waxer" is in reference to? If you can tell me where the name actually comes from... you... may get a prize or something... which I will work out at a later date, but we'll try and make it vaguely interesting.

  • New Video Player

    During my website updates, I've installed a new flash player for the site.
    You can now watch the movies in fullscreen!
    I believe this only works with Flash 9.

    Also, I've fixed the Noisy Hill 2 problem with the video list... turns out that youtube changed their api scheme slightly without me knowing...

    well, in case you missed the memo, newsletter, haven't checked ur rss feed, aren't subscribed via youtube or heard by word of mouth... Noisy Hill 3 Part 1 was just released.

  • Statistics

    Thought I'd update with some stats and general site tweaking news.
    The RSS feed now includes the news as well as the videos combined (clever me) and the NH3 page will automatically update when the first episode is released, although I'll try and get Newsletters out before everyone else.

    Interesting Stats:
    We've been monitoring stats for the last 3 weeks, and:
    62% of visitors come from either typing the address or a bookmark.
    10% come from search engines
    1 person searched "silent hill 3 noisy hill part 1"
    about 25% of hits from other sites come from silenthillforum.com
    95.1% use Windows XP
    only 47.2% of users are using Firefox! [41% IE]
    7.8% of visitors are from Finland
    11.7% of visitors are from UK
    51% of visitors are from the USA

  • MP4 Goodness / Stamps

    ok, MORE news...
    I probably won't update the site until NH3 starts now.
    But, updates are:
    MP4 goodness! ALL episodes carry an MP4 version now, including a PSP thumbnail image. All MP4 versions are encoded for the PSP, but will work on most MP4 players.
    Also, added a 'links/link us' page. I'm going to make some stamps for people to link to OwlWaxer with, they're rather sweet.
    I've got plans for my own video game spoof, but I'm holding back until I get my new super-duper computer so I can edit it how I plan.

    Ok, newsletter works fully now!

    Oh and big note:
    I've FIXED the contact page... I didn't know it was broken... but then again, how could anyone contact me to tell me?
    But, it works now... if you use that form, it will send emails to me and OwlWaxer.

  • Summer's Nearly Over...

    Well, summer is coming to a close soon :(
    But, that does mean a return of noisy hill, which hopefully I'll be able to nab a preview off my brother soon :D

    I've added a donation button, we're starting a 'help us afford a PS3' project.

    Also, adding a newsletter to the site. Will be up soon. It will allow you to get email updates when something happens :)

    Before I head off for Malaga, I thought I'd touch the site up!
    I know, you can't see anything different yet... just go onto the movie page and you'll see the difference!
    All YouTube integrated, will add more features on at a later date.
    The high quality flash movies are now in a bigger box.
    MP4 versions aren't avaliable at the moment, will be up later for the majority of videos.

  • Site Changing...

    The site is going to have a slight rework done...
    A few new things will happen, which will generally improve the site ready in time for the new surprises coming after the summer.

    Secondly, the site will become a little more streamlined with YouTube hopefully, so they will both work together nicely soon...

    Thirdly, I'm sure you're all aware that Noisy Hill 3 is going to be made after the summer by Owl Waxer, I'm also going to join in the fun and be doing another game series.
