Ouch

I think YouTube just offended me.

Homecoming Post 2

So now I’m currently in the Sheriff’s Office, after being in the Hotel… I don’t hate it.

Likes

1: Sounds. The tension is constantly high thanks to the unnerving sounds. oyug

2: I’m constantly trying to preserve ammo and health drinks, and I also feel like I need them. I preserved about 20 televisions in Origins and never used any of them. I have 1 Health Drink left and barely any ammo.

3: I went to Silent Hill! And now… oh. Shepherd’s Glen again.

Dislikes

1: Dialogue. This includes the swearing. It’s beginning to sound just like practically EVERY OTHER HORROR MOVIE/GAME.

2: Grand Hotel. It’s from the movie. Yeah, I went there. Original comment, I know.

3: The way that all the characters are watching the monsters. Feel free to disagree, or to find exceptions to my case, but the previous Silent Hills were mostly about the single character’s journey, and the monsters that they could see. Yes, there would be exceptions, like James seeing Angela’s “Daddy” monster, but they always seemed to mean something personal to the character, and most other characters wouldn’t see any other of the characters’ monsters. I mean, we hear Douglas talk about seeing monsters, and Vincent certainly hints at (albeit jokingly) the monsters being different due to perception. What we have in Homecoming is one town (Shepherd’s Glen) who seem to all be experiencing the same thing. I don’t know, but for some reason I don’t like that. I might not have explained that well, but I know what I mean.

Homecoming: Post 1

OK, so I’m finally playing Silent Hill: Homecoming. I am currently walking through Shepherd’s Glen (not Silent Hill, apparently…), and I’ve just had a chat with Elle. So if you’re not there, SPOILERS I guess.

Likes and Dislikes:

Likes

1: The storyline. It’s intriguing so far, and there doesn’t seem to be too much wrong with it.

2: Doors! You can open doors! You can open doors! MAJOR thumbs up! It shouldn’t be too long before there’s a Silent Hill game where there’s only one loading screen and you can explore all of Silent Hill.

3: Travis? I mean, that was him… wasn’t it? I hope he appears again, I’m mainly curious because of the “Bad” ending of Origins.

Dislikes

1: Opening cut scene. What was that? It was probably a major shoutout to Jacob’s Ladder, which I haven’t seen, but it felt ridiculous, and made me annoyed. Not a good idea to start your game with. Although it can still redeem itself.

2: Save points. Too far apart.

3: Camera angles. You know the story. Although I’m getting used to it.

So far, it’s going quite well, I guess. Actually,, one more thing: DIALOGUE TREES? How am I supposed to record cut scenes when I’ve got dialogue trees to work with? On one hand, it gives me a lot of material to make fun of, but on the other, it’s just annoying.

Pyramid Head’s Lament

Woah, by Owl Waxer uploading a video without “Noisy Hill” in the title, the site has messed up a bit… will fix that when I can… I guess if the site is *that* delicate it needs a rewrite…

Meanwhile, here are the links for the Pyramid Head’s Lament song:

Silent Hill 5 Delayed until Feburary 2009 in Europe

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=199250

No reason for the delay, but I thought I’d slip in the fact that it’s out in USA already and that the PS3 is region-free straight out of the box :)

Cubehouse

P.S, I guess this is the sort of news that is supposed to go on the main site?

Woah, we’re halfway there…

Checklist:

Silent Hill Homecoming: CHECK

PS3: Not yet.

Oh well, I’m gettting there.  By the way, I’m not getting a PS3 just for Homecoming. It just seems like a good excuse to finally get one.

Noisy Hill Update: Really wanted to get Part 7 out last weekend, but it was so busy, and now I’m having major technical problems with the mic. I’m currently not allowed to touch it in case it stops working again, which means I have to record Noisy Hill kneeling down. Oh, the hilarity…

Part 5 Progress

Part 5 is taking quite a while because I’ve been quite busy lately (actually, I still am pretty busy, to be honest).

I’ll try and use this blog as much as I can in the future.
